At Ipoh Cakes, we know that our cakes are the centerpiece of your celebrations. We are committed to ensuring your sweet treats arrive safely, fresh, and on time! Please read through our delivery policy below to understand how we get our cakes from our kitchen to your door.
🚗 How We Deliver
To ensure your delicate cakes are handled with the utmost care, we primarily partner with trusted third-party car delivery services, such as Lalamove and Grab Car. The delivery rate is charge based on the third party base rate & distance from respective outlets.
Under certain circumstances (such as driver shortages or special order requirements), our very own Ipoh Cakes In-House Delivery Team will personally step in to deliver your order safely to your destination.
⏱️ Delivery Time Slots
When you place your order at checkout, you will be asked to select a specific Delivery Time Slot (e.g., 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM).
- We will dispatch your order so that it arrives within your selected time window.
- Because we group and route deliveries to maximize freshness, we cannot promise an exact specific minute (e.g., exactly at 11:15 AM), but we will always aim to deliver within the block you chose.
🌧️ Potential Delays (Weather & Peak Seasons)
While we strive for perfect punctuality, road deliveries are subject to unpredictable conditions. Please allow for a buffer and expect potential minor delays under the following circumstances:
- Heavy Rain or Bad Weather: Cake safety is our top priority. We will not rush a driver through dangerous weather that could ruin your cake or risk their safety.
- Peak Festive Seasons: During major holidays (Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, etc.), high order volumes and heavy traffic may slow down our delivery partners.
- Unexpected Traffic: Accidents or road closures along the delivery route.
If we anticipate a severe delay, our team will do our best to notify you or the recipient as soon as possible.
🎁 Receiving Your Order
Cakes are highly perishable and fragile items! To ensure a smooth handover:
- Be Available: Please ensure that you, or your designated recipient, are available at the delivery location during the entire selected time slot.
- Failed Deliveries: If our driver arrives and no one is there to receive the cake after multiple attempts to contact you, the cake may be returned to our outlet. Redelivery will be subject to availability and will incur an additional delivery fee.
- Inspect Upon Arrival: Please quickly check the condition of the cake upon receiving it from the driver to ensure you are happy with it.
📝 Need to Change Your Delivery Details?
We understand that plans change! If you need to update your delivery address, date, or time slot, please log in to your Account Dashboard and submit a Change Request as early as possible. We will do our absolute best to accommodate your new schedule based on our kitchen and driver availability.
